Pole sitter #09 Isaiah Fox had every reason to expect a different result after leading 43 of 60 laps from the front row, but a late sequence of events — including four incidents charged to his account — saw the #09 machine fall back to third at the flag. It was a painful near-miss for Fox, who had dominated large portions of the race. #84 Gio Turpin ran a clean, incident-free afternoon to finish fifth, while #62 Riley Bennett fell six spots from his third-place start to cross ninth, incurring four incidents along the way. #2 Mikal Jones, who started second, suffered the sharpest fall among the front-runners, collecting eight incidents and finishing tenth.

In the standings, Turpin's fifth-place run maintains his points lead at 205, but the gap is tightening. #74 Ian Blanchard sits six points back in second at 199 after a clean sixth-place run, while Williams' victory rockets him to third at 191 — just 14 points off the top. Riley Bennett sits fourth at 189, keeping him firmly in the equation as well. With the top four separated by just 16 points heading out of Round 8, the ATC Cup Series points fight is as volatile as any race Michigan has produced this season.
