Judson Curtis claimed his first ATC O'Reilly Auto Parts Series championship in dramatic fashion at Charlotte Motor Speedway, driving from fifth on the grid to capture both the season finale victory and the title. The #29 machine took command of the 95-lap affair by leading 68 circuits, outpacing a field of 15 competitors through seven lead changes and two caution periods that consumed six laps. Curtis crossed the finish line ahead of Quinby Demmitt (#07) and hard charger Justin Frazier (#27), securing the 40 points needed to clinch the crown.
The race featured a compelling battle among multiple contenders, with five different drivers sharing time at the front. Pole sitter Jason Nieto (#95) led the opening four laps before surrendering the point, while Mitchell Williams (#54) commanded 12 laps and Quinby Demmitt controlled 10 circuits. Even Mikal Jones (#02) briefly held the lead for one lap during the shuffle of positions that defined the middle stages of the event.
Justin Frazier delivered the performance of the day, charging from 13th on the starting grid to claim the final podium position and earning hard charger honors with his 10-position improvement. Despite accumulating two incidents during his climb through the field, the #27 driver's surge to third place demonstrated exceptional pace and racecraft on the 1.5-mile Charlotte oval. His drive overshadowed several notable struggles, including Pierre Poussi's (#88) eight-position drop from seventh to 15th and Kyle Byrd's (#8) slide from third to seventh.
Curtis entered the season finale holding a narrow championship advantage, and his victory sealed the deal with a 10-point total that edged Mitchell Williams by two points in the final standings. Williams, who started second and led 12 laps, could only manage fourth place despite his early race pace, falling short of the performance needed to overtake Curtis for the title. The championship outcome caps a season-long battle that came down to the wire at Charlotte, with Curtis becoming the series' newest champion.
